Special units

Emergency Response Team (E.R.T.) -  Select members of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department receive specialized training in the use of weapons and tactics to respond to incidents involving barricaded gunmen and hostage situations.  These officers undergo extensive physical and weapons training.

Major Incident Response Team (M.I.R.T.) - Select members of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department receive specialized training in the use of riot and hazardous material protection equipment along with proper response procedures when dealing with incidents involving large disorderly groups and in the event of a mass casualty incident involving.  Members may be required to travel to areas where large mass casualty incidents have occurred. 

D.A.R.E. / Community Policing / Crime Prevention -  Select members of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department have been providing the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) curriculum for the past 18 years and also conduct Crime Prevention Seminars to school and community groups.
